I'm a Cowboys fan and I'm terrified by Jerry Jones' comments about wanting "guys like Owens". We finally have the team back in playoff contention, and now Jones wants to blow it all up by bringing in TO. It makes a guy want to cry.

I'm thinking the Colt's are defintely the team to beat. I think they are real hungry after being denied by the Pats a few times.

I'm also a fan of the Cowboys(second to the Brownies), though part of that is because Randy White is my cousin, lol. I remember watching them and the Steelers back in the 70's going head-to-head. Man, those were the days!

Yes, LT is the best running back since Barry Sanders who was the only good player on the Lions.

What do ya'll think about the Colt's attempting to do the impossible, undefeated all through the season and playoff's.

a)should they keep their starters in and go for history (risking pre playoff injuries) even though they're garantee'd play offs with a bye and home fireld advantage?

b)sub second string to for safety, resting their players and preparing for playoffs and maybe losing 1 or 2 games

If the Patriots dynasty has proven anything to us... it's that the TEAM and the CHAMPIONSHIP are the only things that matter. You play team football and you play to win the Super Bowl. I wonder if we'd remember the '72 Dolphins so fondly if they had lost in the playoffs. I would support Tony Dungy 100% if he played his starters for a quarter or so, just to keep their timing sharp, and then sent in the reserves. You can't keep them out entirely, they'd be rusty come playoff time. But limited playing time I think is perfectly reasonable.

) and I'm still pulling for them now, no doubt about it. Tom Brady is still my hero.

But... the true football fan in me knows that the smart money is with the Colts. So if you put a gun to my head and made me put my money down, it would be on Peyton and Co. But I hope Brady's boys pull it out. How freakin' sweet would a three-peat be?

Pats could well be in the playoffs but I think they're outsiders for a Super Bowl spot. Put it this way.. Assume that both offenses are the same ('assume', damnit!), Indy's secondary > Pat's secondary. However I'm not going to rule out the Pats until they actually go out of the playoffs.

While that comparison is accurate due to the injuries in the Patriots secondary... the strength of the Colts defense is in their front seven, not their secondary. Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis are probably the best pass-rushing duo in the league right now, and the Colts linebackers have been playing outstanding football. Notice that some of their closer games have been against teams that can throw the ball well (ie. the Bengals).

This is why I think they'll have a hard time going undefeated. The Chargers are going to throw everything they've got at them in two weeks (one more loss and the Bolts are basically out of the playoffs), and the Seahawks will be playing both for home field and respect the next week. Whereas the Colts will be playing for... well, the undefeated season. But I think Tony Dungy will start resting people after the Jacksonville game.

I think it's well deserved. Look how selfless the guy is. In a world FULL of "me first" primma donnas (*cough* TO, Kobe, Manny Ramirez *cough*) Tom Brady is the ultimate teammate. He took a pay cut and told the management to spend that money to make the team better. He gets endorsement deals for his teammates. Remember his wideouts in the radio ads last year? And his LINEMEN in the Visa commercials? When do linemen get endorsement deals ever? That's right... when Tom Brady gets them for his teammates. 110% deserved that Tom Brady is the Sportsman of the Year. Every other athlete should be ashamed that they don't hold themselves to the same standard. Guys like Brady should be the RULE, not the exception.

Ok I didnt feel like reading everyones comments this early so Im just gonna put my 2cents in. Seahawks are going all the way, they will beat the colts Dec 24th and I am currently trying to get tickets to see it at laugh at the colts

LMAO the colts def is averaging over 35 points for me in my fantasy league while most defs hardly get 20... they are amazing rite now they have room for improvement but they really need to just focus on alexander as the seahawks passing game is somewhat horrible. hasselback isnt a bad QB they just dont have the recievers to catch is throws.

The Seahawks "offense" can be summed up in two words... Shaun... Alexander, period. That's it. That's all they've got. Shut him down, and the Hawks have nothing. Granted Alexander is having an MVP caliber year, but the Hawks offense seriously lacks depth. And Matt Hassleback has yet to do anything other than CHOKE in playoff time, so pardon my lack of optimism for Seattle.

Honestly I can't even see the Seahawks getting past the Panthers or Bears. The Giants are just as erratic as they are. If they played each other 10 times, you may as well flip a coin 10 times to see who makes more mistakes. But the Panthers and Bears are easily the class of the NFC. Da Bears D would absolutely smother Alexander and the Hawks single-minded offense. And the Panthers would just play "keep away" all day with DeShaun Foster and their own punishing defense. Seattle won't even make it to the NFC title game.

hmm, shaun alexander, matt hasselbeck, hasnt been this good in like ever, bobby engram, jerramy stevens, and joe jurevicous dont make an offense u think?- last week agianst eagles, shaun had only 49 yards, and didnt even play in the second half, matt hasselbeck didnt play either, and still dominated.

Dominated on (say it with me now) DEFENSE against a (say it with me now) PATHETIC Eagles team. Sorry... dominating a Mike McMahon/Koy Detmer lead offense minus their best playmaker (Brian Westbrook) does not impress me in the slightest. The Hawks offense was putrid that night because they didn't have to perform better. Hasslebeck is a proven choker who has never gotten it done come playoff time, and I see no reason to expect that trend to change.

They should have lost to Dallas and New York BOTH. Their performance against the Giants was especially uninspiring as the G-Men had THREE chances to win the game and missed on all three field goals. The Hawks play in the worst division in football and get 4 guaranteed wins per year against the pathetic 49ers and Cardinals. They'll get home field advantage and a first round bye and then get SMASHED by whoever comes into town the next week. (Unless that happens to be Dallas, I got no faith in them either
